Apply to the Program
Completion of, or in the process of completion, all required prerequisites as outlined in the program application and the college catalog corresponding to the year in which the student plans to enter. All must be completed or in progress with a grade of 鈥淐鈥� or better by the application deadline and be in satisfactory academic standing.
All applicants must have a prerequisite GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible for the program. If a student has a late start course, they may be ineligible and must contact the Pathway Coordinator at HSW@糖心live.wy.edu
There are two primary avenues for acceptance into the nursing program:
- General Nursing: applicants needing all four semesters of the nursing program.
- Advanced Placement: applicants are students who are Licensed Practical Nurses. See the Nursing Application Guide and Program Student Handbook for more information.
Program Prerequisites for General Nursing:
- STRT 1000 Strategies for Success
- ENGL 1010: English Composition I
- MATH 1400: College Algebra
- ZOO 2015: Human Anatomy - OR - ZOO 2010 Human Anatomy & Physiology I*
- CNA Licensure**
* If you take ZOO 2015: Human Anatomy you must complete the sequence with ZOO 2025 Human Physiology. If you take ZOO 2010 Human Anatomy & Physiology I you must complete the sequence with ZOO 2020 Human Anatomy & Physiology II.
** Other medical experience is not equivocal nor a substitution for CNA Licensure.
Program Prerequisites for Advanced Placement Nursing:
- All the eligiblilty requirements for General Nursing
- PN License
- ZOO 2020: Human Anatomy and Physiology II or ZOO 2025 Human Physiology
- PSYC 1000: General Psychology
- MICR 2240 Medical Microbiology*
*If you have taken a general microbiology course, we will substitute it for the Medical Microbiology course.
Advanced Placement is dependent upon a space-available basis and adequate clinical resources, and it is not guaranteed.
Applications for Summer 2026 will be available in the spring semester 2026.

Students seeking credit for coursework completed at another college or university must submit official transcripts as part of the application process.
If you are a student or have taken courses at 糖心live within the last year, you do not need to reapply to 糖心live.
General Nursing Applicants:
- Take the TEAS Exam and submit your Overall Score and your Reading Score and submit it with your application. . The test may be taken a maximum of two times within one year with at least a 3-week interval between the tests. The score is valid for two years. Contact the 糖心live testing center for details and scheduling at 307.778.1274 or testingcenterFREELARAMIE.
Advanced Placement Nursing Applicants:
- Take the TEAS Exam and submit your Overall Score and your Reading Score and submit it with your application. . - Upload a copy of your PN License.

- Tell us where you completed your prior nursing education and indicate if you have ever been ineligible to continue in a nursing program. Failure to disclose unsuccessful continuation in a previously enrolled program may preclude student from acceptance or continuation in the 糖心live Nursing Program.
