Faculty Services at the Laramie Campus

The Laramie Campus Library provides a range of valuable services for faculty, including information literacy instruction, collection development support, reserves management, and copyright guidance. These resources are designed to enhance teaching and research efforts, ensuring faculty have the tools they need for academic success.

Information Literacy

Information literacy forms the basis of lifelong learning. It is common to all disciplines, to all learning environments, and to all levels of education. It enables learners to master content and extend their investigations, become self-directed, and assume greater control over their own learning.

Information technologies are transforming the traditional tools for research, resulting in an increasingly complex information landscape. Information literacy is the ability to access, evaluate and apply information from a variety of sources and in a variety of contexts. The library faculty is committed to working with departmental faculty to develop the skills inherent in information literacy, and the Laramie Campus librarian would be happy to schedule an instruction session either in your classroom or in the library.
